Bleed: (blēd)
v. bled (blĕd), bleed·ing, bleeds
v.intr.
In printing,
bleed is printing that goes beyond the edge, or bleed lines, of where the sheet will be trimmed. Artwork and background colors often extend into the bleed area. Bleed information refers to elements outside the finished piece.
